I received a most delightful email today from a recipient of one of the copies of 'A Black and White Tale' that I mailed out last week:

This is a delightful, beautifully done book! I have three people (2/3 daughters and my dear quilter friend, Lenore) who would love to have it. I am particularly impressed with the details of how the quilting was done. I never thought of it being much more than sewing squares or triangles of cloth together in pretty patterns, although I knew to some it was an art form. Now I see why! I look forward to the next edition.

'A Black and White Tale' is here!

It has been five years since Ann Fahl and I began this project but at last it has come to fruition. Today I received a box containing copies of our book and am ready to accept orders from my friends.

The book is 8.5 x 5.5 inches, soft cover, includes 34 quilts, in glossy full color, perfect bound with 48 pages. The book is $17.95 plus $3.50 for shipping. Free shipping on orders of 2 or more. Checks and Paypal accepted.

I seem to have become a once a year blogger but this year I have two major things to share. First, I am being published in a real book! Ann Fahl has made a series of quilts featuring her cat Oreo and I have written verses to go with those quilts plus some of her other quilts to make 'A Black and White Tale' featuring Oreo and her activities. The book will be published near the end of March and I will have a few copies for sale by April 1-- no fooling! I will post the price when I have it. I will also take reservations for the book. I will only have 15 places to begin with and two of those are already taken so if you are in hurry notify me by email
